Along the lines of writing for the content mill in #21, the difference is that you go must go to online job portals such as freelancer.com, elance.com and such then specifically bid on writing jobs. Many of the jobs are specifically to write articles for websites. There is a huge demand for such content and as long as you are a competent writer (i.e. you speak and write fluent English and your level of writing is good enough where you can actually produce a good article about any topic given), you can make a decent part time living as a freelance article writer. If you build up a list of clients, you can even turn this into a FULL time job as well.
There are some good jobs on this list, but I just want to warn others that some of the gigs on this list are very low paying. Some Fiverr sellers do very well, but the majority of gigs don’t earn more than $50 a month. Also, keep in mind that if you are writing 1,000 word articles for $25 each for bidding site clients, you will burn out because you’d have to write a ton of those to equal the wages you’d make at a minimum wage job.

It's one chunk of the day when you can generally expect to be able to plug away without interruption (at least not from your child). Whether your kid sleeps for one hour or three, use this time to finish assignments that require your complete focus and concentration, says Erin O'Donnell, a mom of two and freelance writer and editor in Milwaukee, who often schedules work-related phone calls during her 20-month-old Jonas's naps. If for some reason he isn't tired, they have quiet time instead: O'Donnell puts him in his crib with books and closes the door. "I can usually get in 20 minutes of work before he grows restless," she says. If Jonas wakes up while she's on a work call and begins crying, O'Donnell has trained herself to resist hanging up and rushing right in to check on him. "It hurts a little bit to listen to him," she says. "But it won't kill me -- or him." Plus, she believes it's important for him to learn how to soothe himself.

Buza: The biggest problem with SAHDs is the isolation. The stay-at-home world is geared for women. All the kids’ groups are run by women. The Facebook groups are dominated by women. When I go to the park I’m treated like a shark swimming in a shallow pool. It’s REALLY hard to find other dads in the area. It’s very isolating…which is the number one complaint SAHDs have.

And then there’s The House. Over the years, I’ve found that keeping young kids busy without resorting to too many screens usually involves some level of mess. Busy kids = happy kids = Mommy can work uninterrupted for a while, but it also means more cleanup time and energy for Mom (or more accurately, for the kids, but teaching them requires my time and energy too).
Being a stay-at-home dad can be considered full-time work in and of itself; the key is establishing a routine where you carve yourself out some time during the day to actually get work done. This could mean starting your day before sunrise (before everyone else in the house wakes up), using your child(ren)’s naptime to be productive, or working once your significant other gets home. The keys to making this work are discipline (it can be hard to hunker down and be productive while at home), organization skills (your time becomes limited) and establishing a routine with your partner (they will need to understand that when you’re “off duty” after 6pm, for example, it’s because you might have a deadline to contend with).

At a glance, my life as a woman and work-at-home mother looks like a feminist’s wet dream. I’m college educated with a solid career history filled with escalating job moves and promotions. I’ve had a pretty successful career both as a staff writer and freelancer. I’ve saved thousands on daycare costs (especially when my kids were little). I don’t have to take time off when my kids are home sick. I take conference calls during soccer practices. I still contribute to social security by continuing to work (hope it’s still there when I need it!) There is a bank account with my name on it (not my husband’s). And yes, sometimes, I work in my pajamas.  
Great list! I have been a stay at home Mom for going on 4 years now. It is absolutely a sacrifice, both emotionally and financially to do so. I started looking into ways I could supplement our income, since my husband gets paid monthly. I do before/after school care most days, then during my free time I float between Amazon mturk and Swagbucks. Neither will make you rich quick.
