There are different programs, depending on your interests. The one I am most familiar with is Bradley, and they have training across the country every year. The training does cost, but it is a wonderful program. I went through Bradley classes with my husband when we were pregnant with our first and it was just the best experience for both of us. You can find more about training here.

Weddings are one of the most exciting events that happen in every family. There are numerous tasks to cover in a wedding – inviting guests, ordering food, arranging flowers, designing the venue décor, getting proper lighting, coordinating photographers and the music band etc. If you can pull off parties and social events by planning everything down to the last detail, this could be your cup of tea. You could even establish an Events Organising Company if you are well-networked and highly resourceful.  Event planning can be a rewarding business that can be run from home, particularly by those with good communication skills, an eye for style, and a flair for organisation. Begin with small weddings and soon you can build your passion into a lucrative profession.

This is particularly a business that would be suitable for working class mums. This means that even whilst you are at work, you may be able to manage your online boutique, since it is all about being connected to the internet. It entails the sale of clothes, shoes, and other fashion accessories. You may be required to build a very attractive website so that you can attract loads of people.
Anyone who is passionate about pets and nutrition may be interested in opening a pet bakery business. Pet bakeries usually start out selling through other retailers or online, rather than their own brick-and-mortar store. Because business owners don’t need to keep specific retail hours for customers, it’s possible to start this business up while maintaining another job.
First, let me say that I believe all moms are working moms, whether they’re working in the home, out of the home or a little bit of both, as is my current situation. I'm fortunate to be able to stay at home and work. But I'd be lying if I said there weren't times I questioned what I was doing, why I was doing it and if it was really for me. Half a decade and another child later, I still do. This is the hardest gig I've ever had—and that's saying something, because I've had some tortuous jobs!
When your home doubles as an office, set aside a spot just for work. This can be an office in a spare room, a nook in the kitchen or even a desk in a large closet. Wherever you choose to work, keep a baby monitor on the desk to keep an eye (and ear) on your little one. To be safe, put your baby down for a nap before you jump on a call or want to get lost in a project. Sara Ledterman, a mother of two who successfully launched Adorno, an online home decor magazine and retail site, says it's important to "have a space where you can have at least some sound barrier and focus time when on a deadline."
Those who have experience in HR and a thorough understanding of Applicant Tracking Systems  (ATS) will do well. You will need a certain amount of people skills to attract clients, but the results will matter far more than how friendly and personable you are. If 90% of your clients find a job in their field after paying you a visit, these numbers will speak for themselves.
Writing this particular blog is a bit of a departure for me, as I'm not usually one to talk so openly about my life. In order to understand why, you need to know a few things about me. The first is that I'm a rather private person who prefers not to admit things aren't going that well because (a) I don't like to sound like I'm complaining and (b) I don't like to admit I don't have everything under control. The second is that I don't like to ask for help (refer to previous point b). I'm also a bit of a perfectionist and I'm used to succeeding at most things I try.
Vintage clothing is all the rage, and many people would rather buy their clothes from eBay than go thrift shopping for themselves. Use this to your advantage by finding some great clothing at your local thrift shops, fixing it up at home and then listing it online. You don’t have to stop at clothes either. You may have a love for vintage or secondhand jewelry or even vintage brand-related products.
Parenting is lovely and amazing, but we know it’s hard enough as it is (and it’s already an all-consuming full-time gig). Adding an outside job on top of that has the possibility of making you feel overwhelmed and unable to focus on your family, your hobbies, your relaxation, and yourself. Check out some jobs that offer the promise of a nice balance of work, family, and life outside of your many obligations.
Counted amongst the most valuable tech giants, Amazon is also a massive global market where virtually anyone can cash in on the rising tide of eCommerce if you have the right business idea. But, like everything else that involves money, you have to do quite a bit of work to earn it. In this case, you need to do tons of research (looking for generic products such as clocks, key chains and mugs to attach your brand to) as well as developing a sensible inside sales strategy that'll help you generate profits from your private label side business idea. For an incredible deep dive on how  to launch this kind of business idea, check out how digital marketer Neil Patel recently did this as a public experiment right here on his blog.

What kind of skills do you have that you could leverage into sales? Think about products you could create yourself, preferably at low cost. The longer it takes to make them by hand, generally the more you can charge for them. A few ideas include sewing toys or clothes, baking and decorating fancy cakes, paintings or other artwork, or wedding favours.

Hello Alexa, I have read your list and am very interested. I am a single mother of two little ones, and I would like to start up an online job from home, until I can get further on my career path offline. I have no idea where to begin and would appreciate so ideal tips on what and where to get started to make a decent living for my kids as well as myself, I would greatly appreciate it thank you for your time.
Running errands and other odd jobs. Users of TaskRabbit.com post any task they need help with, ranging from data entry to delivering balloons from a shop to a home. TaskRabbits bid for the jobs and get paid upon completion. I have hired a “Rabbit” to deliver a truck full of diapers to a charity event. My friend Lynn hired a tech-savvy Rabbit to create a themed playlist for a baby shower. If you can handle doing someone’s grocery shopping while you do your own, this could be for you.
I also know what it’s like to spend every waking minute with your kids when you’re a stay-at-home mom. Trying to figure out what the hell you’re going to do with them for four hours until the stores open at 10 a.m. because they woke up at six. Playing with them in the playroom for hours and then looking at your watch and realizing it’s really only been five minutes. Walking around a parachute singing “Pop Goes the Weasel” and thinking, “Ahhh, yes, this is why I got a master’s degree.” Sitting down for lunch with them and asking, “What’s your favorite color?” because that’s the kind of crap you ask when you’re trying to have a conversation with a 3-year-old. You know that saying, absence makes the heart grow fonder? Well, here’s another saying. Constant presence makes you want to grab the nearest cup of bleach and drink it.

Being organized for the day goes far beyond making a to-do list. In addition to the emails, reports and other work-related tasks, think about the tasks and activities that will give you the most personal joy. Make sure you put time on the calendar for family-only activities to give your baby undivided attention. "Ensure there are at least two large daily blocks of time where you are totally devoted to your baby," advises Nicky Leonti, a family day care educator and mother of two boys. She recommends baby massage, playing age-appropriate games or going for a walk together. "The importance of this is that it helps them feel important, you get that connection and it tires them out so they have better sleep," she says.
If you love to organize and want to help people take back control of their lives, you may want to consider becoming a professional organizer. If you’re not able to actually go to people’s homes and help them organize, you can start a blog or website devoted to giving tips on how to organize. You may even want to consider writing a series of ebooks dedicated to the topic.

If you are a stay at home mum, and have a sonorous voice, then you may consider being a voice over artist. This means that you can lend your voice for great works of arts like; audio books, radio jingles, and what have you. This is a freelance job and means you can work with your own time. Working class mums can also engage in this, as it doesn’t hinder you from working for your organization.
I plan out all of my writing projects in advance so that when blessed naptime comes around, I’m not hemming and hawing, messing around on Facebook, and fiddling with my email. I’m writing. This means I stick to an editorial calendar (nothing fancy, I just use a free Google calendar) for everything here on Frugalwoods as well as my freelance and volunteer work. I find that brainstorming topics, invoicing, editing photos, etc ahead of time frees up naptime for the mental investment of writing.
