I don’t use scheduling and time blocking. Instead, I follow Daily Routines. For example, every Monday we have one set of tasks, while Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday’s tasks look completely different. When I try to make my life more scheduled, I get agitated! Tasks always seem to take way longer than I always think they will. Kids make messes, they’re hungry, they poop…the schedule is always messed up. People who can keep a tight time block schedule are superheroes. How they do it literally boggles my MIND!
As I am so fond of doing, I’ll leave you with a thought on how the dominant paradigms of our culture conspire to make us into endless consumers. In many ways, daycare is an example of how much we pay to work in this country. I sincerely wish we had free childcare programs for all families in the US, but, we do not. And so, families are left to grapple with an essentially no-win situation: lose an income by staying home or lose a lot of an income by paying for daycare.
Have a support system. You may be a stay-at-home mom with a job, but that doesn't mean you won't need occasional childcare. You might have a partner, grandparent, or another family member who can step in and help when he or she is not working. You might have another mom that you can swap play dates with. Or you may need to get a casual babysitter, even if it is a teenager who can come over after school or on weekends.

The past few months have been been some of the most eventful of our lives. From welcoming our first child (ok, second if you count Frugal Hound) to buying our homestead property, Mr. Frugalwoods and I feel like we’ve been on a wonderful–yet chaotic–roller coaster of hectic-ness. Amid these changes–and largely because of them–I also made the decision to quit my full-time office job and become a work-at-home Mommywoods.
Other things that you will need to consider while exploring stay-home-mom jobs ideas include making sure that your goals are realistic. You may not be able to find a high-paying, high-profile job as a stay-at-home mom. And you may not get rich by working from home. Some SAHMs or WAHMs (work-at-home moms) do create highly successful and profitable businesses, but they are often in the minority.

3. At-home assembly—You pay for starter kits for products—such as toys—and are told that once you assemble them at home, you can resell the assembled products back to the company. Once you have them assembled and try to sell them back, you will be told that the assembly does not meet the company's guidelines, no matter how perfectly the products were assembled.
Similarly, Leah Charney, 34, cares for her infant son while working at home as a marketing and operations consultant in Colorado. Postpartum, she returned to a demanding job but quickly left to scale back and work from home while her husband still worked full-time. Her son goes to day care two days a week—that’s when she schedules meetings and tackles larger projects. On other days, she works while he eats and naps.

Wow, I have to say I was a bit surprised that you were pursuing paid blogging. I wish I could reclaim all of the time I wasted on attempting to produce income from my blogs and/or writing! Hopefully your existing job/rental income will give you the cushion you need until you can find some form of freelancing that pays better – or write a book, at least…
Being a social media manager can be of the best work-from-home jobs if you’re autonomously managing a company’s social media presence. As the voice of the organization, you can manage the strategy and the day-to-day support for their top social platforms. This could include content creation, advertising budget and daily engagement. Having your own thriving social media presence will help you get experience and show your prospective clients your know-how. Social media marketing changes faster than a newborn in a diaper...so be willing to stay on top of the trends.
Work at home moms have similar perks to stay at home moms. They can attend the pre-school holiday parties or pick up a sick child from school and still make it back home for a 1PM conference call. They’re also able to save money on childcare by working evenings and during naps time (something I am doing at this very moment). It’s almost like you get to—dare I say—“have it all.” That is, if you don’t mind ending a work call abruptly when you notice that the diaper you thought had at least ten more minutes in it actually didn’t.

This is quite new in the world of weddings but is a fantastic idea for anyone who wants to capture their special night. Many brides are now hiring painters to attend the event and paint a scene from the wedding in the painter’s unique style. If you are artistic and enjoy painting, you can expect to make around $4K from each painting. While you do have to attend the wedding to do a live painting, weddings are usually on weekends making this desirable to stay at home moms. You of course pick and choose which dates and weddings you book. Expect to be busier during the spring and summer as that is when weddings happen.
